We were immensely excited and pleased to take part in the parade for Pride in London 2017 #lovehappenshere. As far as we know, we were the first morris side to take part in Pride in London.
We had an absolutely fabulous time dancing down Regent’s Street: crowd support was overwhelming! We’d like to thank our 2017 supporters, Nick and Alyx, who helped hand out leaflets and, importantly, kept us well hydrated by acting as water carriers.
The icing on the cake was winning the Award for Best Team in the Parade.
We also took part in 2018, 2019 and we can’t wait to get our rainbow laces in for 2023 too.
As an inclusive all female side, we represent all shades of the sexual spectrum and we are proud to number gay, straight, bisexual and asexual women in our membership. We know gender is a non-binary construct: and we welcome anyone who is happy and comfortable to present as female when dancing with us.
